Since then M$95 in my home box nad a company. A nice penguin told me that he had found hell of a lot issues in my hard and soft ware. I was quite disappointed with RH/MDK distros (and still wish to knock the ass of those, who released gcc-2.96) until I downloaded via 11200 modem four cd's of SuSE-9.0 (the patience had died to get the 5-th disk) and all M$ products finally was wiped out. Right now I've got SuSE 10.1 x86_64 as primary OS, SuSE 10.2 x86 just incase and using 'qemu'+'kqemu' (http://fabrice.bellard.free.fr/qemu/) for the rest of the stuff, cause I hate to spend my time learning how to install OS on extended logical disk (all primary are quite busy...). Only Linux (I guess) could be installed into the asshole (if there's 512 byte for a bootsector) and it'll work!
Finally I decided to take a look at the current branch of the most amazing WM in the world. Current stable version is 0.16.8.7 - or E16 in brief, current development (pre-alfa) is 0.16.999.0
41 - or E17 (DR-17). And take a look at the
SCREENSHOT of this puppies.
Here's a e16 with
aqua theme on SuSE 10.1 and inside 'qemu'+'kqemu' is Frenzy-1.0 (FreeBSD_stable) with "right out of the box" E17 ('xorg composite extension' is enabled, 'bling' module of e17 is enabled)
To get this working cvs build of E17 I wrote a
bash script who does all "dirty" work for me (YES, IT WORKS ON LINUX AND FreeBSD!) - it retrieves cvs sources, ask quite a lot of a questions, gives even more advises and finally installs E17 into Your *nix box. Here you always could find the latest version of this script and take a look at my
notes about settings and usage of e17, e16 and may be even e14!
Also you're welcome to visit http://omicron.homeip.net/ and get Easy_e17.sh - this script doesn't work on FreeBSD but may be someone will find it to be more comfortable. It's nice to have a possibility to choose from.
I highly appreciate the efforts of all who helped me. Especially Arthur Demchenkov, who gave me some ideas how to improve the code itself and
rootshell.be service for a kindly provided hosting. THANKS!
Also please note, that the primary language for this homepage is RUSSIAN! English-speaking persons could get quite a lot of useful information just using google. I'll try to keep ENG mirror up to date, but my deepest apologises if you fing it empty. By the way, Russian language deserves to be studied!
ARE YOU ENLIGHTENED ???
